I am combining two great blog hops: Stacking The Shelves (a Saturday feature by Team Tynga's Reviews), and Sunday Post (a Sunday feature by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer). Both of these features give people a chance to post about what books they received and also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what others are excited about. I really enjoy see everyone's version of these features! If you enjoy my blog, please consider following me via Bloglovin, Networked Blogs, GFC, or by email subscription. If you leave a comment and tell me you are a new follower, I will follow you back! As always, all book cover images are linked to GoodReads so if you see a book you want to learn more about, just click away...

Thank you, Jessica. I love that you visit me each week. I will check out your blog on Sunday. Have a great weekend.
DeleteAwesome books you got! I hope you have a great spring break!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Stacking the Shelves!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog
Thank you, Ronyell. It was a "staycation", but I got to read many books, so I enjoyed myself. Have a great week.
DeleteI want to read Queens of Geek so bad too, I hadn't even heard of it this week, so cool that you won it! I also want to read Firstlife the book just looks so pretty. I got Girl with the Red Balloon too, it sounds so good and can't wait to read it, hope you like it too!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Firstlife and will review it in the coming week. I think I will have to wrestle Queens Of Geek away from my teen daughter in order to read it. She snatched it up the moment it came out of the envelope! Have a wonderful week.
DeleteI hope you love Queens of Geek! I really did! It was probably my favorite book I read this year so far.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Oh, now I need to grab it from my daughter. She is reading it right now. We are going to a ComicCon in two weeks, so getting it now was quite timely. Have a great week.
DeleteOoo, Queens of Geek. That cover just pops. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteThank you. We are going to the Silicon Valley ComicCon in two weeks, so I think I should read it first. We had a blast last year, and I think it will be even bigger this year. Have a wonderful week.
DeleteLooks like you have some goodies. I need to read Grave Mercy but I did love Firstlife so I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Firstlife. I liked it, but I had some small issues with it (how many times can one actually die and come back...). It was an audio book, and really enjoyable. Have a wonderful week.
DeleteEnjoy your books! They all look so good...and I am especially intrigued by Mrs. Sinclair's Suitcase.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog. I loved that you had watched soaps and admired Agnes Nixon's legacy.
I finished Mrs. Sinclair's suitcase in one day. It was such a wonderful piece of historical fiction. I loved it! I need to get that book about Agnes Nixon. She was so influential in television, and probably one of the first super powerful women in entertainment. There was a character in the movie Tootsie, who I think was based on her, as well. A true pioneer.
DeleteI loved Grave Mercy when I read that book. The second book was even better in my opinion. I still need to read the last one in the trilogy. I spent my week of which was during my daughter's spring break with my nose in a book or working on the house. I love weeks like that. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMe too! All I did was read and stay up late. I have to wake up so early normally, that it is such a treat to stay up past 10:30pm! Now I need to get back to a regular schedule or I will have a migraine on the first day back. I love my job, but it is all-consuming when I am in it. Have a great week.
DeleteIt's always dangerous when I go to the library. I had two reserves come on after I already went this week so I sent my husband. You've got some good looking books this week. I'm curious about Women in the Castle. Have fun reading all your haul.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barb. I need to use my library even more because I just can't afford to buy all the books I read. But here's my problem: I will put books on reserve, and then a bunch of them will come to me all at once! I will be scrambling to get everything read in a timely manner. Oh well, at least I have that resource, right? Have a great week.
DeleteIt sounds like my kind of vacation too. :-) It was my daughter's spring break as well--alas, not mine. She didn't get nearly as much reading done as she does during the school week, I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to read Bookishly Ever After for awhile now. It sounds like something I might like. And Grave Mercy for that matter. Mrs. Sinclair's suitcase caught my attention too.
Both of your NetGalley books sound really good as well. I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Ardis.
Enjoy your week this week!
W are going to a ComicCon in a few weeks, so we couldn't spend any money this week. So it was books and television (or video games for the kids) that kept us busy. I did get a lot read but wish it could have been more... Have a great week.
DeleteA week with more time for reading is my kind of spring-break, too, Ardis :) And you do have some nice books to keep you busy, too.
ReplyDeleteI need to check your review for Firstlife :)
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
I will post my review for Firstlife next week (I need to get to writing it today). I enjoyed it, but had some issues with it, as well. Have a wonderful week.
DeleteI haven't read any of these books but I like the sound of them all! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stephanie. I liked your blog, such a pretty design! Have a great week.
DeleteAwesome haul! Every single book you got looks interesting! I really want to try Grave Mercy sometime, I've been hearing so much about that series over the years, and now I'm really curious about it. Have a great week and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI really liked Grave Mercy. After I wrote the review, the author contacted me to clarify something that I was apparently confused about. She did it in such a kind way that I actually appreciated that she reached out to me. Robin LaFevers was incredibly nice! I am waiting for the other two books to arrive at my library and will read them soon. Have a great week.
DeleteI keep meaning to read Grave Mercy but haven't got around to it yet. I hope you love your new additions! :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved Grave Mercy and read it several times since. I need to check, but I'm thinking I never wrote a review! So many of your books look like ones I'd enjoy. Thanks for the introductions!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
YAY for spring break! Mine was almost a month ago and honestly I'm still recovering from the week off. I feel like I need a week off from my week off!
ReplyDeleteI adored Grave Mercy! That series is one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Have a fantastic week, Ardis. =)
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Spring break and books are a good combo! And I loved grave Mercy- so much fun!
ReplyDeleteSpring break is the best! I haven't done much of anything and it has been glorious. I've been meaning to read Grave Mercy for ages, but haven't gotten to it. Happy reading!
