Monday Musts is a weekly feature hosted by Jessica of Lovin' Los Libros. This is a great feature that has exposed me to all sorts of books, music, and movies I would not have known about otherwise. Go to her blog for a complete list of all the participants.
Spring Break is now over and I am back to waking up at "stupid o'clock". But I am actually very happy to return to the students. They are really starting to mature and act like older kids. So much change in such a short time!
Must Read:
I have a deep and abiding love for this book series. The story is about a girl named Blue. She's a local teen who wants nothing to do with the guys who are students at the elite boarding school in the area. But she does become tangled up in the lives of Gansey and his group of friends. This is a paranormal series that is hard to describe. What I will say is that these are such wonderful, complex characters and they will break your heart.
The last book in the series, The Raven King, comes out on April 26th. I suggest binge-reading all of the books before the new one comes out. Of course, I have pre-ordered it and will stop all other activity to read it the moment it gets to my house. To me, this is as big as the release of a Harry Potter book!
Must Listen:
I am very excited that we won tickets to go see Pentatonix!!! The concert will be in a few weeks. Here is their rendition on Meghan Trainer's song No. It's amazing.
Must See:
I saw this movie a few days ago with my teen daughter and it was a fun, engaging movie. The little ones in the classrooms I work in call it "The Sloth Movie", and I must say that part of the film was hilarious!
What are your Monday Musts? Let me know in the comments.

ReplyDeleteMy Monday Musts!
I am trying to squeeze in reading those books again before the new one comes out. Save Gansey!!! Alas, it's probably too late.
DeleteOh man. So I haven't had much luck with Stiefvater's books in the past, but I have to admit The Raven Boys series is really intriguing.
ReplyDeleteI love Pentatonix! I think their version is better! haha
And yesss! Zootopia looks adorable!
The Raven Boys series is very special. I love how Blue (The Main Character) is NOT the chosen one. There are so many amazing characters. It is romantic, exhilarating, and will rip out your heart.
DeleteI really need to read The Raven Boys series. I've wanted to for awhile, but I have a difficult time getting to series because of time and whatnot. But with the fourth one coming out so soon and Maggie signing near me, I need to get on it!
ReplyDeleteZootopia was so cute! I really loved it - it's one i definitely want to see again in the future.
Listening to the Pentatonix right now. It's very good. I've seen them live and they are GREAT, so have fun.

I added The Raven Boys to my possible reads list thanks to you :) I love love love Pentatonix, I wish I had realized sooner that they would be in Portland, OR on April 26th or I would have probably begged my bf to get us tickets but at this point they are pretty much impossible to get tickets.
