Happy New year Everyone! I hope that you all had a stupendous New Years Eve! Now that it is New Year's Day, I plan on putting food in the crock pot, kicking back to watch the Rose Parade (and see the float my Alma Mater Cal Poly made!), and then reading more books.
The Featured blogger this week is A Night's Dream of Books!!! Please check out and follow this blog. It has a really pleasing aesthetic that I think lots of people will enjoy. Please also follow the hosts and then Blog hop to your heart's content! If you follow someone new, let them know in the comments and let them know you are a new follower. I always follow back!
The Question of the week is: What books are you most excited for in 2016? Suggested by Alison Can Read.
There are so many books I am looking forward to. As you can see, most of these are sequels. I have a few other books that I'm excited about, but that is because I got a chance to read them early, so I'm not putting them on this list. This will definitely be a great year for reading (but not for my pocketbook)!
I'm looking forward to Truthwitch, The Unexpected Everything and A Court of Mist and Fury too. I'd probably be looking forward to more of these if I'd gotten around to reading the first book in their series! So many books, so little time! :-) Happy New Year! Old follower.
ReplyDeleteMy FF!
I think many of the books I want are coming out in May (my birthday month), so I will be hinting like crazy to my family to buy me some of these. I've heard the title The Unexpected Everything, but I need to learn more about it.
DeleteGosh, those covers look so lush. I still need to catch up on 2015's best YA! Happy new year! :) Kicking back with a crock pot of food today sounds like a GREAT plan!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anne. I think I want to try those doughnut things you have on your site. Have a great new year.
DeleteYou definitely should when you can find the time for it!
DeleteOoh nice! Looking forward to those first 4! And A Court of Mist and Fury of course!!! Great picks!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I know most of my picks are sequels, but those are the ones I'm "invested" in, if you know what I mean. I think those type of books already have built in expectations. Have a lovely New Year.
DeleteBased on the covers, you have a great looking list here! Happy New Year!

Thank you, Kristine. There seems to be a blue/purple aesthetic going, right? Have a great New Year.
DeleteI must pick up Cassandra Clare's book the cover has me intrigued. It reminds me of what happens to Katie Bell in the Half Blood Prince. She looks cursed, and i am hooked! http://wp.me/s5WCdr-2242
ReplyDeleteHi Susan. I think the book takes place a few years after The Mortal Instruments finishes. It should be really fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for Warrior Witch and A Court of Mist and Fury! Is that the real cover for ACOMAF? Didn't realize it'd been announced.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is the cover that is being shown. I love the Stolen Songbird series! I'm not super successful about getting approved for ARCs, so I have to wait like everyone else for the actual books to come out.
DeleteSo many fantastic books! I can't wait for Truthwitch, Lady Midnight and A Court of Mist & Fury in particular :D I'll have to check out the others. Happy reading! I'm a new follower
