Stacking The Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews. Each week, nearly 100 bloggers share what books they got! It is so much fun to hop from blog to blog looking at all the goodies and adding recommendations to my TBR pile! Go to Tynga's website for the complete list of bloggers.
As far as book acquisitions went, it was a pretty slow week. I have buyer's hangover from all the purchases I made earlier in the month, so I am trying not to buy new books... Hello, Library!
Read This Week:
I LOVED Outrun The Moon, By Stacey Lee! I was able to get an ARC copy of this book, and I'm so glad I did. I will post a review of it on Sunday!
From The Library:
I had to get back in line for the audio book of A Darker Shade Of Magic, as I checked it out a while back but didn't get to it. I'm also listening to audio books on my way to work, so I will be listening to these at a faster than regular pace for me.
What books did you get this week? Which ones are you frantic to read Right Now?
I'm frantic to read quite a lot of books, mostly those in series that I've started and got way behind on! I just can't decide what to read next!
ReplyDeleteYes, I have about three series that I have the next book for, but I need to re-read them so I remember what happened! I guess I have all my books lined up for the summer!
DeleteOOoh nice! Those are somewhat new to me ones! Hope you enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Thanks for stopping by, Jessica! You are so consistently kind.
DeleteI'm glad you're listening (listened?) to the audiobook of ADSOM. It is WONDERFUL. I would recommend THE SCORPIO RACES by Maggie Stiefvater on audio and I really enjoyed the REBEL BELLE series by Rachel Hawkins on audio as well, if you are looking for other books to listen to! I have already read my most anticipated release for this week, THE LAST STAR by Rick Yancey, because I found an early copy and couldn't resist even though I have it pre-ordered. *hides in shame* Can't wait to see what you bring in next week!
ReplyDeleteJamie @ Books and Ladders
Audiobooks are a great way to multi-task. I usually listen while I do housework, or when I drive. I love the Rebel Belle series so I will look for the audiobooks at my library. Thanks for the recommendations.
DeleteI am curious about All the Bright Places...and Outrun the Moon. Thanks for sharing, and have a great week. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
ReplyDeleteI read All The Bright Places, and thought, "This will be a good book to listen to with my teen". Wrong! I forgot about the sex and how depressing it is. I loved reading it, but it's a tough one to listen through.
DeleteI hope you like A Darker Shade of Magic. I read it last year and thought it was pretty entertaining.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I just finished the audiobook of A Darker Shade of Magic and loved it! The person reading it did a great job (very British) and the story was compelling.
DeleteI try and try to go on a "no buy" for books - and it never lasts more than a couple days. Hope you have some good will power! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteBambi's StS and Recap
Thanks, Bambi. I have plenty to read in the meantime. I just need to stop requesting ARCs from NetGalley, and I will catch up...
DeleteOoh, I'm so jealous of Outrun the Moon! It sounds amazing, and THAT COVER. I loved ADSOM, but I'm definitely curious about the audiobook. Sometimes the audiobook can make such a difference! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week!
Rachel @ Paper Cuts
Outrun the moon was wonderful. I have a special affinity for that book, as I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and my Great Grandmother lived through the 1906 earthquake. I hope you can read it.
DeleteOoooo, A Darker Shade of Magic! I loved that book, and its sequel. I think the cover of A Conjuring of Light is going to be revealed tomorrow. :D I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week. :)
Check out my STS post!
Yes, I loved A Darker Shade Of Magic. Now I need to read the sequel and get ready for the one after that! I'm going to be able to see Victoria Schwab when she comes to the Bay Area Book Festival in June!!!
