Happening This Week:
The time just flies by and I was really busy with work and home stuff. The weather couldn't seem to stick to one season this week. The first half of the week was super hot where it was difficult to sleep. Then it cooled down and now finally feels like Autumn. Time to break out those sweaters at last!
Last Week On The Blog:
Monday: Bay Area Book Events |
Tuesday: ARC Review |
Wednesday: ARC Review |
Thursday: ARC Review |
Read This Week:
I thoroughly enjoyed Kunal Nayyar's book (He plays Raj on The Big Bang Theory), but was disappointed by The Lovely Reckless. I really wanted to like it, but there were too many cliches to be realistic.
New Books:
From Irish Banana Blog Tours:
I received finished copies of two books I reviewed as part of Irish Banana's blog tours. Hannah is a wonderful leader for these tours and I feel so lucky when I get to take part in these events!
I didn't get any new books other than these, but with last week's haul, I am plenty busy reading and catching up on ARCs.
How was your week? What are you excited to be reading? Let me know in the comments.
Great haul! I am looking forward to your review of Secrets in the Snow. I have seen this cover now a couple of times, but not sure if it will be something for me. Happy reading and have a great weekend *smile*

Thanks, Vi. I reviewed that book on Thursday but I didn't like it at all!!! I love historical fiction, but it seemed to me that the author didn't do her research. There were so many inaccuracies that I couldn't enjoy the book.
DeleteNice haul! Yes, My Accent Is Real is such a funny title! I really like Kunal Nayyar on The Big Bang Theory so I may need to check out his book! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI really liked his book! He arranged it as a series of stories about his life. It is amazing to think that he is only in his early 30's but has accomplished so much.
DeleteJust Kill Me sounds interesting, I'm not always drawn to biographies but I have to say I also really like Kunal Nayyar in Big Bang Theory so I could be tempted to that one. Great haul :)

I liked Just Kill Me. It was a fun, easy read (although I found one element of the story implausible). I also love Kunal Nayyar. His book is more of a collection of stories about his life. It is not the usual celebrity memoir. Have a great week.
DeleteIt is really feeling like autumn here now too, we've had light rain and cooler temps. It's kinda nice. Sorry to hear secrets in the Snow was so disappointing- I thought it looked interesting and clicked over to see your thoughts. Yikes, doesn't seem very period authentic. :( Good to know though.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Yes, I had such grand hopes for Secrets In The Snow! I think if one is going to write historical fiction, you need to get the basics right. Oh well. Fall is my favorite time of year and I plan on enjoying it! Have a fun week.
DeleteOh some nice covers there! I haven't read any but it looks intriguing. happy reading
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by!
DeleteThe weather here can't seem to make up its mind either. I want it to be autumn already as well! Glad I didn't request Secrets in the Snow. I've got enough books to keep me going for years on end, but you know...cover love. And winter...but thank you for making me skip this one ;)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the Lovely Reckless, but it does seem to be popping up on blogs here, there and everywhere recently!!
