Stacking The Shelves #70 & Sunday Post #33

I am combining two great blog hops:  Stacking The Shelves (a Saturday feature by Team Tynga's Reviews), and Sunday Post (a Sunday feature by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer).  Both of these features give people a chance to post about what books they received and also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what others are excited about.  I really enjoy see everyone's version of these features! If you enjoy my blog, please consider following me via Bloglovin, Networked Blogs, GFC, or by email subscription.  If you leave a comment and tell me you are a new follower, I will follow you back! As always, all book cover images are linked to GoodReads so if you see a book you want to learn more about, just click away...
On The Blog Last Week:
I continued to get lots of reading done, so I am feeling like I'm almost of top of things.  I have decided I do NOT need to write up a review for every book I read!  This sounds obvious, but I was doing that for a while, worrying that my blog wouldn't have enough content without it.  But I am finally realizing that I don't need to post every day!

Monday:  Bay Area Book Events

Tuesday:  ARC Review:  What Playwrights Talk About When They Talk About Writing by Jeffrey Sweet.

Wednesday:  ARC Review & Giveaway: The Blue Moon Narthex by N.J. Donner

Thursday:  Book Review:  Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland

I forgot to add this to my purchases a few weeks ago.  I really enjoy listening to Veronica Rossi speak at these book functions, and I can't wait to read her books.

Wow, two books in the mail in less than a week?  I am a very happy camper!  Both of these books look great, and what pretty covers, right?

  1. Nice!! Some new to me ones here but I did really enjoy Veronica Rossi's series! I remember I binged it! Love the joy of binging a series! LOL!

    1. Yes, binge reading is the best!!! I often wait until an entire series is out, so I can read it all at once. I don't like having to wait a year to find out how a cliffhanger resolves. Have a great week.

  2. The Serpent King is on my TBR list, so I hope you like it. I’m also struggling to keep up with reviews. I’m trying to review the majority of the books I read, but I’ve been reading too fast lately.

    1. Yes, that is my issue too. I read too fast and then when I do have time to sit down and write, I can't quite remember what I wanted to say because I am immersed in a different book! I am trying to take notes now (easy on my kindle) so I can refer back to them when I write my reviews.

  7. You are sooo right, Ardis. You don´t have to review every book you´re reading or blog every day. Don´t stress yourself. Blogging is supposed to be fun and it looks like you are having it with your books and events you are visiting. Happy reading and hopefully you will enjoy all your new babies.
