I am combining two great blog hops: Stacking The Shelves (a Saturday feature by Team Tynga's Reviews), and Sunday Post (a Sunday feature by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer). Both of these features give people a chance to post about what books they received and also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what others are excited about. I really enjoy see everyone's version of these features! If you enjoy my blog, please consider following me via Bloglovin, Networked Blogs, GFC, or by email subscription. If you leave a comment and tell me you are a new follower, I will follow you back! As always, all book cover images are linked to GoodReads so if you see a book you want to learn more about, just click away...
On The Blog Last Week:
I got lots of reading done this week, as well as review writing. I still need to settle down in front of the computer and catch up on some reviews, but I feel like I'm keeping on track.
Monday: Bay Area Book Events
Tuesday: ARC Review: Gilded Cage by Vic James
Wednesday: ARC Review: The Valiant by Lesley Livingston
In "Real" Life:
It was a short week for me, and I was able to attend a launch party for Nina LaCour's new novel We Are Okay. It was at a bookstore that I have never heard of called Diesel Books, in Oakland. It was great to see many other bloggers in the audience. While we were chatting, we were excitedly talking about the upcoming visit of Laini Taylor at the end of March!
The store certainly had a morbid sense of humor! |

That's it for this week. What books are you reading? What did you get this week that made you squeal? Let me know in the comments.
OOh nice! Some new to me ones there, but I know of Laini's books at least! Lol! Hope you enjoy all the new reads!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Thank you Jessica. Laini Taylor is one of my favorite authors! I can't wait to go to her event in March.
DeleteI’m envious that you get to go to so many bookish events. They always look like fun. I hope you enjoy your new books! I still need to read that Laini Taylor series. So many people have recommended it to me.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
The Daughter Of Smoke & Bone series is one of my favorites. Laini Taylor is so imaginative, and her book is so tragically romantic! I love going to author events. Lately, I'm on a roll, and have been doing one per week for three weeks in a row. have a wonderful week.
DeleteA few of your new books look great. I hope you love all of your new books this week.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Thank you, Grace. I usually don't go on buying binges, but everything collided this week so that things I ordered came through, plus the book events where I had to buy things. Wouldn't it be rude to go to one of these events and NOT buy the book? Have a great week.
DeleteThe Daughter of Smoke & Bone series is awesome! Enjoy!

Ronnie @ Paradise Found
Yes, it is one of my favorites! I am eager for her new book, coming out in late March.
DeleteWe Are Okay is catching my eye this time around. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is reading it right now. It seems pretty heavy, so I want her to read something fun after that to balance it out. Nina's prose is very beautiful, so I think my daughter will like it.
DeleteI really enjoyed funding Audrey when I read it earlier this year. I really want to read Tell me three things. Glad you had fun at the book signing enjoy your new books.
ReplyDeleteMegan @reading away the days
Both Finding Audrey and Tell Me Three Things were audio books, and I loved them!!! I am a sucker for a British accent, and I thought the production values for Finding Audrey were amazing. Even if you read the book, listen to it on audio, and you will love it.
DeleteThat's so cool that you went to LaCour's event! And you got all of the Smoke & Bone books, that's awesome. I have Strange the Dreamer and can't wait to read it. I loved Tell Me Three Things. :D I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend, Ardis. =)
Check out my STS post!
Thank you, Alyssa. The event for Nina was great because it was a launch party, so there were a LOT of people and everyone was in a celebratory mood. It was also in a very cool bookstore which I had never been to before. Have a fun week.
DeleteThe Reader is a really good read. Hope you enjoy it and all your other books. It's great you get to meet so many authors.
ReplyDeleteI am listening the The Reader now, and it is so beautifully written! I am enjoying it so much. Have a great week.
DeleteI have The Reader on my TBR as well :-) Hope you will enjoy all your new babies. Have a great new week and thanks for sharing the pictures.
