Stacking The Shelves #104 & Sunday Post #68

I am combining two great blog hops:  Stacking The Shelves (a Saturday feature by Team Tynga's Reviews), and Sunday Post (a Sunday feature by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer).  Both of these features give people a chance to post about what books they received and also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what others are excited about.  I really enjoy see everyone's version of these features! If you enjoy my blog, please consider following me via Bloglovin, Networked Blogs, GFC, or by email subscription.  If you leave a comment and tell me you are a new follower, I will follow you back!

I have begun to participate in the Amazon affiliate program, so if you click on any of the book covers it will take you to Amazon if you want to buy the book.  I will be getting a small fee for each purchase.

On The Blog:

Monday:  Bay Area Book Events #72

Tuesday: ARC Review:  Artemis by Andy Weir

Thursday:  ARC Review:  The Library At The Edge Of The World by Felicity Hayes-McCoy

I've gotten ahead of my reviews, so everything was on autopilot this week!  This opened up my time to do a lot more reading.  I really liked Artemis, by Andy Weir, and The Library At The Edge Of The World,  by Felicity Hayes-McCoy.  Strangely, both of them were about small towns (of course, in Andy's book the town was on the Moon!).

In Real Life:
I have done a lot of reading, this week, even though I have been sick with a cold!  I spent most of Thursday at home, reading (and sleeping!).  I want to be healthy for next week, when I will be preparing lots of food for Thanksgiving.

The Kindergarten kids were adorable this week, as they are very excited for the holiday.  We talked a lot about what we are thankful for, and made lots of fun art projects with corn husks.

We will have the week off, so I stocked up on library books to read!  I will cook a lot, so Iwill also be listening to audio books, as well.

That's it for this week!  If you live in the U.S., I wish you the very best for Thanksgiving.  If you live elsewhere, try some pumpkin pie.  It's delicious!

    1. It's a struggle to keep up on writing. I still have a few more reviews to write to keep up content on the blog. But my hard obligations are caught up. But any writing is hard!

  3. I hope you are 100% for the holiday. I just checked out The Library at the Edge of the World and there is a GoodReads giveaway. I hope I win. It says it is Maeve Binchy-ish, and I love her books. I am a fan of The Starbound series, so I hope you like These Broken Stars. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

    1. I'm about halfway through These Broken Stars and it is great, though not what I expected at all. It is more of a survival story, than science fiction (so far). I know there will be more about the life on the new planet, but it hasn't happened yet in the book. Have a wonderful week.

  7. Oooo! I still need to read the Jay Kristoff books. I think the first one is called Nevernight? Right? I have read These Broken Stars, though, and it was really good. I'm hoping to get my hands on the sequels soon. Enjoy!

    Thanks for visiting Shell's Stories!
