I am combining two great blog hops: Stacking The Shelves (a Saturday feature by Team Tynga's Reviews), and Sunday Post (a Sunday feature by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer). Both of these features give people a chance to post about what books they received and also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what others are excited about. I really enjoy see everyone's version of these features! If you enjoy my blog, please consider following me via Bloglovin, Networked Blogs, GFC, or by email subscription. If you leave a comment and tell me you are a new follower, I will follow you back!
I am participating in the Amazon affiliate program, so if you click on any of the book covers it will take you to Amazon if you want to buy the book. I will be getting a small fee for each purchase.
On The Blog:
As I was writing my review for The Tree, by Na'amen Gobert Tilahun, I looked back at my notes and saw that the author had included MY REVIEW in the praise section for his first book, The Root! I couldn't believe it! I feel so legitimate!!!
Monday: Bay Area Book Events # 81
In "Real Life":
I was sick, AGAIN and had to take more time off work. I lost my voice, and I can't really work if I can't talk! I spent all of Friday alternately listening to an audio book, and napping. I really wanted to attend a wonderful book event this weekend, but I don't want to get any authors sick. So I will content myself with massive reading, and writing, instead.
New Books:
NetGalley:
Both these books will come out in the summer, but I wanted to snatch these now! I hope I can get to them soon...
Bought:
I am a huge fan of Gigi Pandian, and read The Ninja's Illusion, a Jaya Jones mystery. I loved it, so I wanted to start from the beginning with Artifact, the first novel in the series.
Yes, I want to write a novel. This is a long term goal of mine. Susan Dennard, the author of Truthwitch, recommended this book in a newsletter I subscribe to, so I really hope it can help me sort out the layout of my story.
That's it for this week. Stay healthy, everyone.
That must be surreal and gratifying to see yourself blurbed. Congratulations! I hope you are feeling better too!
ReplyDeleteSeeing yourself quoted is always amazing! I had a few quotes in some books over the years but none lately. But still I look back at those books and still get tingles! Lol!
ReplyDeleteOoh nice new reads! Those are all totally new to me ones! Hope you enjoy them all!
Hope you feel better soon!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!

I hope you're feeling better soon. How fab to find your review quoted in a book, that really makes all it worthwhile :)

Man, I hope you feel better soon. However, it's so nice to see you decided to stay home - a lot of people might not do that. Sorry you missed what sounds like a fun event.
