The Take Control of Your TBR Challenge Round Up

https://caffeinatedbookreviewer.com/2018/01/march-take-control-of-your-tbr-pile-challenge-sign-up.html

March has been an interesting month for me as I have embraced this challenge to read only books I already have.  I finally read several books that have been on my shelves for years!

Books:

My favorite books were Lord of Shadows, by Cassandra Clare, and The Cruel Prince by Holly Black.  I love books about the Fae, and both books have a decidedly gritty take on the mythical creatures.   But I also loved the quiet beauty of We are Okay by Nina LaCour.

My least favorite book was Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.  I just couldn't get past all the misogyny, and attempts at irony.  I'm sure it was groundbreaking in it's day.  But I don't think it has aged well, at all.

  1. I did this challenge too! You did great with it. I also didn’t like Catch 22. I thought it was boring and not funny at all.

    1. I'm glad I wasn't the only one! I feel odd when I read a "classic" and don't like it, as though I must be an uneducated clod (ha!). But our opinions are as valid as any one else's, right? Thanks for stopping by.
