I am combining two great blog hops: Stacking The Shelves (a Saturday feature by Team Tynga's Reviews), and Sunday Post (a Sunday feature by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer). Both of these features give people a chance to post about what books they received and also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what others are excited about. I really enjoy see everyone's version of these features! If you enjoy my blog, please consider following me via Bloglovin, Networked Blogs, GFC, or by email subscription. If you leave a comment and tell me you are a new follower, I will follow you back! As always, all book cover images are linked to GoodReads so if you see a book you want to learn more about, just click away...
On The Blog Last Week:
It was a fun, but bizarre week for me on this blog. I sent out one tweet promoting a review I did of a book that I loved from 2016 called The Last Days Of Magic (It had recently come out in paperback).
ARC Review: The Last Days Of Magic by Mark Tompkins
For some strange (and wonderful) reason, it has been retweeted numerous times and viewed over 1600 times! I'm pleased with all the extra blog traffic that this generated, but really confused about why. Ah the mysteries of the internet...

Monday: Bay Area Book Events #39
In "Real Life":
Last weekend, we had a great visit from my brother-in-law and niece. They were here to check out UC Berkeley (Cal). We also went out to dinner, while some of the teens went to a great David Bowie band tribute in Berkeley. One of my daughter's friends was in one of the bands, and their first original song was inspired by my daughter! She was really moved (and the song was quite good, too!).
New Books:
Edelweiss:
I'm finally having a bit of luck getting approved for ARCs on Edelweiss! As you can see, I like many different genres, so I am looking forward to reading each of these books.
That's it for this week. What books did you get this week? What are you excited to start reading? Let me know in the comments.
OOh nice new reads! Mostly new to me ones though I feel like The Witch's Kiss is familiar somehow...
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy all the lovely new reads!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Thank you, Jessica. I think The Witch's Kiss looks like a lot of fun. Have a great week.
DeleteI love the cover for The Witch's Kiss! That looks like it's going to be a good one. Happy for you that you got a huge response from your tweet! That's so great! It's funny how things work out like that sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
Yes, I am happy. but perplexed by that one! I'm starting to feel more pressure to read more, more, more! There are so many great looking books in my queue. Have a great week.
DeleteTwitter is so weird, isn’t it? Sometimes my Tweets get a ton of views for reasons that I don’t understand. I hope you love your new books!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Great hall! The Witch's Kiss looks great, as does The Address - I love all types of genres as well, historical fiction as much as fantasy sci-fi!
ReplyDeleteMy book haul this week!
Nice, you got an interesting array of books here! They're all new to me, but I'm curious about The Witch's Kiss. Congrats on the approvals. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic weekend, Ardis. =)
Check out my STS post!
Great haul! Love the covers of all three.
ReplyDeleteHere's My STS
Congrats on your Twitter and Edelweiss approval success. I hope you enjoy all your books!
ReplyDeleteEdelweiss is still hit or miss for me. I can get denied on Edelweiss for the same book I get approved for on Netgalley. It's weird.
My STS
