I am combining two great blog hops: Stacking The Shelves (a Saturday feature by Team Tynga's Reviews), and Sunday Post (a Sunday feature by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer). Both of these features give people a chance to post about what books they received and also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what others are excited about. I really enjoy see everyone's version of these features! If you enjoy my blog, please consider following me via Bloglovin, Networked Blogs, GFC, or by email subscription. If you leave a comment and tell me you are a new follower, I will follow you back! As always, all book cover images are linked to GoodReads so if you see a book you want to learn more about, just click away...

Monday: Bay Area Book Events #50
In Real Life:
Last weekend I attended the third annual Bay Are Book Festival in Berkeley, California. While we had a great time talking to authors and buying books from them, I didn't feel there were any authors that I just had to meet. Last year they had a bunch of YA authors, and a huge book giveaway. This year, I think this festival had some bad timing as it was on the same dates as BookCon in New York! I hope the organizers can figure out a way to attract more writers, and also some publishers.
This was the last week of school and it was busy but fun! I really loved this class of kindergarten students this year. And the teachers that I worked with were supportive and insightful! I am so blessed to be working with such wonderful people, parents, and students. The last day ended with several bouquets of flowers, lots of smiling faces, and a few tears.

I got to chat with this author at her booth and loved how she described her book. Any time a book combines historical fiction with food, I am ready!
