Stacking The Shelves #116 & Sunday Post #80

I am combining two great blog hops:  Stacking The Shelves (a Saturday feature by Team Tynga's Reviews), and Sunday Post (a Sunday feature by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer).  Both of these features give people a chance to post about what books they received and also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what others are excited about.  I really enjoy see everyone's version of these features! If you enjoy my blog, please consider following me via Bloglovin, Networked Blogs, GFC, or by email subscription.  If you leave a comment and tell me you are a new follower, I will follow you back!

I am participating in the Amazon affiliate program, so if you click on any of the book covers it will take you to Amazon if you want to buy the book.  I will be getting a small fee for each purchase.

On The Blog:

Monday:  Bay Area Book Events # 85

Tuesday: Audio ARC Review:  Blood of A Thousand Stars by Rhonda Belleza

In Real Life:

Besides being sick (again!), I mostly did a lot of reading this past week.  I finally finished Cutting For Stone, by Abraham Verghese!  This is an epic book at nearly 700 pages, and it took me a very long time to get through it.  But the journey was worth it.

I'm also really enjoying a mystery series by an author called Louise Penny.  Until recently, I have not been a fan of the genre.  But the Inspector Gamache series has made me a fan!  The books are set in the fictional small town of Three Pines, Quebec, Canada.  I love, not only the mystery to solve, but the many characters that make up this little village.

I have already listened to this audio book!  Exciting and fun.

I am beyond excited to read Mun Mun, by Jesse Andrews. He was a presenter at the book signing I went to last week, and he read from this novel.  It looks strange, and fun!  My historical fiction addiction continues with The Subway Girls, and I will want to read anything from Roxane Gay.

That's it for this week.  What are you reading?

  5. I am interested to see what you think of Mun Mun. I am a fan of Me, and Earl, but I am not a huge SFF fan. I hope you are feeling better.
