I am combining two great blog hops: Stacking The Shelves (a Saturday feature by Team Tynga's Reviews), and Sunday Post (a Sunday feature by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer). Both of these features give people a chance to post about what books they received and also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what others are excited about. I really enjoy see everyone's version of these features! If you enjoy my blog, please consider following me via Bloglovin, Networked Blogs, GFC, or by email subscription. If you leave a comment and tell me you are a new follower, I will follow you back! As always, all book cover images are linked to GoodReads so if you see a book you want to learn more about, just click away...
On The Blog Last Week:
Monday: Bay Area Book Events
This week just flew by! I have been really trying hard to read as much as possible in order to meet my goals for The Caffeinated Book Reviewer's May ARC Clean Sweep Challenge! I've read three ARCs already, but I need to do even better.
Also, I was approached by an advertising agency looking to buy ads. Has anyone had any dealings with Zoom Online Media? Or has anyone sold ads on their site? Any advice?

In "Real Life":
It's supposed to be a busy weekend, but I have come down with a aggressive cold virus! So, I think I will be reading and sleeping most of the weekend.
New Books:
NetGalley:
Public Library:
That's it for this week. What books did you get this week? What are you excited to read? let me know in the comments.
Ugghh so sorry to hear that you've got a nasty cold. They have been going around this area too. I just got over one myself. It's so hard when the weather can't make up it's mind if it was to be really cold and rainy or sunny and warm. lol! Toward a Secret Sky has such a pretty cover! I hope you enjoy your new reads, and get some good rest to get rid of that cold!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julie. I was actually granted a "wish" on Netgalley to get Toward A Secret Sky. But now I need to read it quickly, because it has already been released! It is a pretty cover though, and I am a sucker for nice book covers! Have a great week.
DeleteSorry to hear your sick! Colds are the worst! Hope you feel better soon! Nice new reads too! Hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Thank you, Jessica. I'm trying to not get too many books each week so I can diminish my TBR pile. But there are so many great books coming out this month! Have a great week.
DeleteI hope you feel better soon. A cold is a great excuse to stay in bed and read.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Yup! I've already read an entire book yesterday, and hope to read two more books today! Thanks for the well wishes. Have a wonderful week.
DeleteHope you feel better! I liked your Monday post where you list the book events- what a great idea! And some nice signings/ events there too.
ReplyDeleteToward a Secret Sky has a beautiful cover!
Thank you, Greg. Do you live in the SF Bay Area? We are lucky to have so many book events around here. It's a good thing too because there aren't many book festivals or conventions around here! There is one event in Berkeley in June, but not much else. Have a fun week of reading.
DeleteI hope you're feeling better. Good luck with the challenge. Sorry, I haven't heard of the advertising media.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your books, especially the ones you're currently reading. Have a wonderful week. :)
Thank you, Geybie. I just finished Flame in The Mist and it was wonderful! I love books set in feudal Japan! Have a wonderful week.
DeleteThree ARCs, congrats! I've decided not to join this May's challenge because I've got so many new upcoming ARCs precisely this month that I can't spare any time for the old ones :)
ReplyDeleteI have had to stop myself from requesting any more ARCs and it is so difficult!!! But I have a bunch to read that will be published in the next three months that I need to really focus on those. A challenge makes it all the more motivating, right? Have a great week.
DeleteI'm the same as you, I've 3 ARCs read for Clean Sweep. Somehow I thought I'd be further along too. But 3 is better than nothing!
ReplyDeleteMe too! But, along with the ARCs I need to read, friends have givin me books I must read, and I got a big load of books from the library of books I have been on a waiting list for. I still haven't gotten to those! Have a great week.
DeleteI need to get on my ArCs am so behind due to my reading slump hopefully this month I can catch up with some. Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteMegan @ reading away the days
Thank you, Megan. I often get in a reading slump, especially if I have just read a really emotional book. Then I need to jump into a different genre. That usually gets me back on track. Good luck, and thanks for visiting my blog.
DeleteGlad you got some ARC reads done this month! I really need to start reading my ARCs soon!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
