This is my final week of vacation and I am reading and writing reviews at a break-neck pace (for me). I had to work one day this week and I have been getting up early in preparation for school to begin. While coffee is helping, I have a hard time getting up early. But, I am excited to see my colleagues and the kids next week!
Read This Week:
Wow, these were some amazing reads this week! I will be coming out with reviews of these books soon, but both The Cat King Of Havana and Tell Me Something Real were amazing!
From NetGalley:
I am so happy that I got these approvals this week. I especially looking forwards to reading The Bone Witch.
For Blog Tours:
This was an incredible book! There is music, travel, cyber-intrigue, and family drama. I can't wait to share my review of this book.
From The Library:
Americanah is a book I am reading for the African Literature Book Club on GoodReads. I had to wait a while to get the book from the library, but it was worth it. I'm about 25% into it and it is really beautiful. Rick Riodan's The Trials of Apollo is another fun book by the master of middle-grade fiction.
Bought:
My rest of my order from Book Depository finally arrived and I couldn't be more pleased. I now have the complete four book set of the Clara Vine series. I just need to make the time to read this series. Oh, the dilemma!
Freebies for Kindle:
I am really happy that I am finding these free books on Amazon.
What books did you get this week? Which ones are you most excited about? Let's talk!
Ooh nice! I got The Bone Witch awhile back as well! Can't wait to read it! Hope you enjoy all the lovely new reads!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
yes, The Bone Witch looks fun! I am currently trying to hurry up and read a bunch of books before school starts. Once I start work, I will be lucky to read two books a week! So it may be a while before I can get to The Bone Witch. Have a good week.
DeleteYou got some great looking books this week. I love the freebies that I get from Amazon.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Yes, Free books are great! I love getting books from the library, too. I am going to really try NOT to by new books as I have so many now to read.
DeleteTell Me Something Real looks like a great read! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
ReplyDeleteGenesis @ Latte Nights Reviews
Oh My Gosh, I loved Tell Me Something Real! I will be publishing a review of this book on Tuesday. I hope you can stop by and check it out.
DeleteI have a Book Depository order which I hope arrives next week as well. I've been really bad about grabbing some books from there that I can't find in the US. I am also excited to read The Bone Witch. Great haul this week and hope you love them.
ReplyDeleteBook Depository is the only place that I could find the Jane Thynne books, so I have no guilt in ordering these books! Although I will NOW be on a book buying ban ("sure", she says)...
DeleteOoo, I love the cover of The Bone Witch! It's so gorgeous - and the story itself sounds interesting too. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week. :)
Check out my STS post!
I have so many wonderful books to read right now. All I want to do is sit and read, but I am also busy trying to get everyone ready for school. Have a great week.
DeleteCoffee is a lifesaver when it comes to getting up early, no question about it! Hope you enjoy your last week off. The Bone Witch looks fun!
ReplyDeleteYes, I will be clinging to coffee this week! Yes, I am looking forward to The Bone Witch so much.
DeleteHope you enjoy your students! I am going back to school as a student myself and a bit nervous...lol.
ReplyDeleteYou read a lot of good looking books!

Week in Review
Good luck with your studies! The first day of school is so fun! I love all the enthusiasm of the teachers and the students. I am a little bummed that I won't have as much time to read, but I love the students. They are so much fun!
DeleteOooh, the Bone Witch looks really good. I love that cover. Enjoy your new books and the last of your vacation!
