I am combining two great blog hops: Stacking The Shelves (a Saturday feature by Team Tynga's Reviews), and Sunday Post (a Sunday feature by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer). Both of these features give people a chance to post about what books they received and also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what others are excited about. I really enjoy see everyone's version of these features! If you enjoy my blog, please consider following me via Bloglovin, Networked Blogs, GFC, or by email subscription. If you leave a comment and tell me you are a new follower, I will follow you back!
I have begun to participate in the Amazon affiliate program, so if you click on any of the book covers it will take you to Amazon if you want to buy the book. I will be getting a small fee for each purchase.
On The Blog:
Monday: Bay Area Book Events #75
I spent most of last weekend writing, so I let the blog run on autopilot for this week. It was rather freeing, not racing to finish a review with hours to spare!
In Real Life:
Once again, it has been a busy time at work. I feel very valued by my colleagues, so even though I'm exhausted at the end of the day, I feel really good about what we do in the classroom.
I haven't gotten much reading done, even though I am really enjoying the book, Where We Belong, by Emily Giffin. I want to sit for long stretches and read, not read in little snatches of time (like I usually do). I WILL dedicate more time to reading this weekend.
I WILL, I WILL, I WILL, I WILL....
New Books:
Public Library:
I am continuing my re-read of His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman. I checked out the second book, The Subtle Knife as an audio book, so I can work around the house and listen at the same time.
For Review:
Random House Audio:
Isn't this the most gorgeous cover? I admit to being overly influenced by stunning cover art, but this looks great. Thank you, Random House Audio!
That's it for this week. I am looking forward to getting a lot done this weekend, and then spending time with my brother next weekend (and seeing Star Wars!). Have a wonderful week!
Totally agree, that cover is fab! Definitely makes me want to add it to my tbr! Love have the blog prescheduled, and run on auto pilot. It's the only way that works for me.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Trish. I still do my Monday post on the fly each week because it's time sensitive (Book events in the Bay Area). But I feel better knowing I have content lined up ahead of time. Have a wonderful week.
DeleteBeen seeing a lot of buzz over The Girl in the Tower! Might be one I will have to look into! Hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Veteran follower (not old!). I love fantasy, so I think I will enjoy The Girl in the Tower. Have a great week.
DeleteI haven’t read His Dark Materials since I was a kid. I could also do with a reread. I hope you enjoy your new books and get time to read/listen to them!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Thanks AJ. It's been years since I read them too, but i really enjoyed The Book Of Dust, so I want to reacquaint myself with the other books now. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteI should reread His Dark Materials as well, I read them back when the movie came out and I remember absolutely loving them! Have a great week and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to read more this week. Oh I’m in a dire need to blog ahead. The next weeks will be super busy with Christmas and New Year celebrations coming. Have a wonderful week and happy reading. ❤️😁
ReplyDeleteI think both the covers for the Winternight series are beautiful. I hope you enjoy it when you listen to it.
ReplyDeleteHope you find more time for reading. It's a very busy time of year. I want to read The Golden Compass series in 2018 including the new one.
ReplyDeleteOh man. The Girl in the Tower has SUCH a gorgeous cover - it gets me every time. I have not read the previous book but I'm thinking about binge-reading the series once it is complete. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week, Ardis. =)
Check out my STS post!
